” What we get in Kennie is a very solid player that does more on the floor than his stats indicate. Benedict’s Coach Fred Watson was so high on Kennie and his abilities I made a special trip to South Carolina to see Kennie play and was impressed. Kennie is not only an outstanding basketball player but is also a solid person of character. He will do well in our program”, stated Mountaineer Coach Sims.

The Mountaineers is a federal non-profit organization. Their mission is to use basketball to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through prayer, testimony and Christ-like behavior. Their goal is to help build spiritual and moral character based on biblical principles. The Mountaineers will be role models for youth, non-believers and the community. There are 60 teams in the ABA in nine different regions of the United States. The teams also travel outside of the U.S. The Mountaineers recently returned from playing in China.
